Neural Touch ™ is a gentle, strikingly effective system of bodywork, largely inspired by the work of the late Tom Bowen of Australia. Other influences include the most subtle of osteopathic techniques, and the strategic finesse of the internal martial arts. Neural Touch ™ is ideal for pain relief, musculo-skeletal problems, organic and endocrine conditions. Unlike the general fare at massage therapy schools, Neural Touch ™ is not massage, chiropractic, "energy work", or acupressure. It uses simple moves, gentle pressure, and stretches on muscles, tendons, and joints to stimulate the nervous system into resetting tension levels within the body. U.S. Bowen is proud to offer training classes in Neural Touch ™.

Gene Dobkin is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider under Category A, and by the Texas Board of Health as a continuing education provider for Massage Therapists.

Training seminars in Neural Touch ™ are available to those with a professional, ongoing, hands-on practice, including anatomy and physiology training. Talented amateur practitioners are occasionally admitted on a case-by-case basis.

If you are practicing medicine, chiropractic, osteopathy, physical therapy, or massage therapy, consider a seminar. If you are out of massage therapy school and need CEU hours, this training will take your work to exciting new levels. Neural Touch ™ will hurt no one, and will enhance any methods or procedures you already use. The techniques can be used alone or combined with other protocols. They can even be seamlessly integrated into an examination! No oil or nudity are required, and the work is so gentle and relaxing that most clients fall asleep one or more times during the session.

Not ready to commit to classes? Gene's Bowen Home Companion, Volumes I and II, are available for sale. These books represent a crystalization of an earlier, more formal version of Bowen's work. The Companions have been read, used and enjoyed by thousands of practitioners in fifteen countries.

Gene Dobkin, in full-time practice, teaching, and writing about therapeutic bodywork for over 20 years, is the founder of Neural Touch ™. Since 1986 he has taught in California massage therapy schools. Beginning in 1992, Gene became the top U.S. Instructor for The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia ® [Bowen Technique, or Bowtech®], and later the International Institute of Applied Health Services ® [Neuro-Structural Integration Technique ®, or NST ®]. Though having similar roots to these techniques, Neural Touch ™ is a radically different approach to the protocols, practice and teaching of Tom Bowen’s original, groundbreaking work.
